|Course: Art in New York|
Harry J. Weil is an art historian living and working in Brooklyn, NY. He earned a doctorate degree in modern and contemporary art from Stony Brook University in 2013. Harry spends his days working in the communications field and nights curating exhibitions and cultural programs for the historic landmark church of St. Ann & the Holy Trinity in Brooklyn Heights. When not looking or thinking about art, you can find him in the kitchen working his way through cookbooks, planning a hiking adventure, or dreaming up weekend plans.
Weil teaches Art in New York, a course that allows students to explore the city as a context for modern and contemporary art through field trips and related discussions. Topics include: the development of art museums and galleries, public art, and contemporary art institutions.
