Photo Contest
Guidelines
The contest will accept
photographs taken by Ithaca College students while studying abroad,
as well as photographs taken by international students in their
home countries or in the US. There are two main categories of
the contest: People and Places, as well as an additional special
category: TBD. The photos must be original and taken by the students
submitting them for the contest. We can accept only one entry
per category per student for the contest; please contact International
Programs if you would like to display more photos.

Photograph Guidelines
Printing:
Photos will ideally be 5x7 (i.e. big enough to get a good sense
of the photo but not too big to take up too much space) and will
be matted. Please do not submit digital photographs to us.
You can easily have your digital photographs printed by
going to:
Matting:
All photos will be matted. Please try to do this yourselves for
best quality. If it cannot be arranged, bring us your photo(s)
and we will paste them on a piece of poster board for you.
Description:
With the photos, please enclose your name, the title of the photo
and which category it is for (and any other additional information
on the topic, if you feel this is necessary). If this is a study
abroad entry, also provide information on the program (when and
where did you study). It is also essential that you provide us
with your phone number and e-mail address, so that we can communicate
with you.
Submission
deadline
The
entries must be submitted to the Office of International Programs,
214 CHS by 5 pm on Wednesday, October 28th, 2009.
Judging
The
contest entries will be judged by popular vote: all visitors to
the International Education Photo Exhibit will be invited to submit
their vote for the best photo in each of the categories of the
contest. First, Second, and Third place prizes will be awarded
in each of the three categories (People, Places, and Transportation).
