Class of 2008, Journalism and History

"I worked in the public affairs office at the National Museum of American History but also spent a fair amount of my time helping the curators with media tours, press releases, and special events. I was fortunate enough to help with the packing and rehousing of artifacts, since the museum was preparing for an extensive renovation project. This was the first time I really got to touch history; holding objects worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, or those that were priceless to the families that donated them, was overwhelming."
