| Experience
I started riding when I was eight, and began showing soon after. I
showed my first horse in the Children's Hunters and Equitation for a
few years and in my freshman year of High School I was given the opportunity
to lease another horse, Splashdown. I began to show him on the A circuit
in the children's hunters and equitation. During my sophomore year I
had some setbacks and needed reconstructive knee surgery. I began riding
again in a few months, just in time for the summer show circuit. We
finished up that summer with some highlights, which included being Reserve
Champion at the Hampton Classic in the Children's Hunters and qualified
for the Zone II hunter finals. During my junior year I again needed
reconstructive knee surgery and couldn't ride for a few months, but
Splash was there and ready to show when I came back. That year we bought
Splash, and I continue to show him in the Adult Amateur Hunters and
Adult Equitation on the A circuit. Last year I rode and
showed with Kim Perlman at Riverstone Farm in Garrison, NY. This was
truly and awesome experience in which I learned a lot. Just a
few months ago Splash needed major colic surgery, but he is currently
recovering and we are hoping he is ready to show again by December.
