The mission of faculty development is to promote and foster the professional development of faculty to achieve the highest level of effectiveness in their roles at Ithaca college. This will be done by a variety of means including: supporting the scholarships* of discovery, integration, application and teaching; conducting workshops and Brown Bag Luncheons; promoting interdisciplinary and interschool collaboration; sustaining the Faculty Colloquium Series; mentoring faculty; and recommending uses for the college's financial resources for faculty development related activities.
