Welcome, goodly gentles, to the Other Realms. We provide nerdy entertainment several times a month in the form of Games Nights, massive expeditions to the movies to watch SF or fantasy-themed films, and our Book Club. In the spring of 2007, we've already had a Magic : The Gathering draft tournament and a trip to see Pan's Labyrinth.
In 2006, we went to see A Scanner Darkly and Eragon. Last year we went to see The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, V For Vendetta, Mirrormask, and other exciting new films. The Book Club read Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson, The Knight by Gene Wolfe, American Gods by Neal Gaiman, and some others that the Webmaster can't think of right now.
Go ahead! Come to our meetings! There's free food, fun movies, challenging games, and lots of off-the-cuff Star Trek quotes. Games Night, the standard meeting for Other Realms, is held on Saturday evenings in the TV lounge in Emerson Hall. Please note, this is not Emerson Suites, the place where large boring presentations and small exciting concerts are held. It starts at 6:30 in the evening and continues until the last remaining member of the Royal Cabinetry gets cranky.
We're always looking to expand our library of books, games, and movies. Suggestions for new games and media are always welcome. Please don't hesitate to contact Pharaoh Chris with a new novel you think absolutely everyone should read.
