For our Fall 2001 Philantrophies project, Epsilon chapter put on a production of the musical Swingtime Canteen, with all profits benefitting the local Salvation Army. Swingtime Canteen is a musical set in WWII England in an American Army Camp. Five women of the WAC are prepared to entertain soldiers far and wide, as well as be broadcast nationwide in the USA. Personalities are revealed and tempers flare among the three women, who swing through the show with hits like, "Sing Sing Sing," "I'll Be With You in Apple Blossom Time," and a medley of the Andrews Sisters hits.

Epsilon Chapter produced this show with the help of a Sigma Alpha Iota Chapter Seed Money Grant. It was very exciting, and we also put on a portion of the show for the local music program run by the Salvation Army benefitting from our show. Below is the cast list, followed by pictures from our final dress rehearsal.

- Marian Anderson - Meagan Joy Sherwood
- Jo Sterling - Erin Donnelly
- Lilly McBain - Sarah Dewey
- Katie Gammersflugel - Callie Shrader
- Topeka Abotelli - Alison Blanchard

"It's a musical number, fellas, NOT ladies wrestling."
L to R: Sarah, Alison, Erin

"Remember love isn't born - it's made!"
Erin Donnelly hilariously pulled off the side-kick roll of Jo!

"It was mother's little darling... out on a commando raid!"
Alison did a great job of being our brilliant pianist,
as well as taking a shake at singing a couple of times!
