New Student Orientation Guide
Welcome to your summer orientation guide. Orientation is a three-day experience, with different goals for each day:
- Day 1 - Orientation check-in and housing assignments
- Day 2 - Learn about resources and meet with a faculty advisor
- Day 3 - Register for first semester classes
Review the information in each section below carefully and contact us with any questions you have along the way. We look forward to meeting you this summer!

Check out an example schedule and program highlights below for an idea of what you can expect during your orientation experience. You will receive a final version of your schedule during check-in.
On Day 3, you will check out of your residence hall room by 9:00 a.m. and finalize your fall class schedule with a faculty advisor. Be sure to visit the Information Fair to pick up your student ID before you leave, and collect your luggage from the storage area.
