No Car? No Problem.

Parents often inquire about transportation options during breaks and long weekends.  Ithaca College has collaborated with Cornell University and other local partners to develop a rideshare program connecting drivers with riders for commuting, shopping, rides home, and travel to special events. If your student hasn't already, ask him or her to sign up at www.zimride.com/ithaca. Other transportation options include:

• ShortLine/CoachUSA provides IC students with an easy way to get home during breaks with safe, comfortable transportation at a discount.

• Greyhound Bus Lines offers regular service to/from downtown Ithaca. Call 800-229-9424 or visit http://www.greyhound.com.

• For express transportation between Cornell’s campus and New York City, with at least two departures daily, please go to http://transportation.fs.cornell.edu/coach.

• It’s easy to get around Ithaca without a car! Our public transportation service, Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit, Inc (TCAT) is a not-for-profit corporation that provides public transportation for Ithaca and within Tompkins County.  Check out their website to learn more.
