Community and Government Relations

The Office of Community and Government Relations is responsible for advancing the college’s interest at all levels of federal, state and local government.

At the state level it is the office’s role to represent the college to both the executive and legislative branches.

At the federal level we represent the college’s interest to the federal government and endeavor to inform the Ithaca College Community about relevant government actions, pertinent legislation and strategic partnership opportunities.

In addition, the office develops and maintains positive local relationships for the college and enhances lines of communication by serving as liaison between the college, neighborhood associations, the business community and the community at large. Our role is to provide advice to departments on issues that might have community implications.

Please visit the Office of Civic Engagement for additional information regarding the development and coordination of curricular and co-curricular community partnerships and activities including service learning courses, volunteer community service initiatives by students and student organizations, and all areas of institutional community access.
