National Collegiate Athletic Association Internship
The NCAA, in 1987, identified involving women and minorities in intercollegiate athletics as a primary focus. The NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship Programs were established to increase opportunities for qualified women and minority candidates through internships.
Award
The NCAA offers one-year internships at various institutions providing on-the-job learning experiences for ethnic minority and female college graduates pursing a career in athletics administration. These are paid, 12-month positions.
