Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship
The Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship Program is currently the world’s largest privately funded international scholarships program. It supports the mission to further international understanding and world peace. It includes study abroad, during which students are expected to be outstanding ambassadors of goodwill to the people of the host country through appearances before Rotary Clubs and district schools, civic organizations, and other forums. After study students share their experiences with people of their home countries and with the local Rotarians who sponsored their scholarship.
Award
The foundation offers three scholarship opportunities: Academic-Year, Multi-Year, and Cultural Ambassador (3 or 6 months). Funding includes round trip transportation as well as room and board expenses. In general, awards range from $12,000 to $25,000.
