The Kennedy Center Internship
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is a presidential memorial as well as the nation’s center for the performing arts, mandated by Congress to present and produce the finest performances from this country and abroad. Kennedy Center internships offer meaningful learning experiences for students interested in careers in performing arts management, arts education, fundraising, advertising, public relations, and many other aspects of non-profit management – in the nation’s capital.
Award
Internship assignments are full-time and last between 3 and 4 months. Interns receive financial assistance of $650 per month to help defray housing and transportation expenses. Interns may attend Kennedy Center performances (free of charge) and may participate in educational events that provide opportunities to meet with prominent artists at the Center.
Eligibility
Upper-level undergraduate students (juniors and seniors), graduate students, and students who have graduated but have not been out of school for more than two years are eligible to apply.
