National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships

The NSF seeks to ensure the vitality of scientists, mathematicians and engineers in the United States and reinforce diversity in these fields.

Award

The NSF offers multiple awards in all categories of scientific inquiry (except for medical sciences) and engineering. Fellows may choose any accredited, U.S. institution or appropriate international institution of higher education offering advanced degrees in science, mathematics or engineering.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be citizens or nationals of the United States.
• Be at or near the beginning of their graduate study in science or engineering.
