The Office of Grants and Sponsored Projects is committed to strenghtening the competitive edge of Ithaca College faculty members pursuing sponsored programs funding frompublic and private sources. This office offers access to timely and actionable information on funding opportunities and provides personalized support to meet faculty needs including:
Monitoring publications and computer data bases that identify, list and describe funding sources and opportunities for external support. Sources include funding newsletters such as Federal Grants and Contracts Weekly, Scinence and Govenrment Report, Academic Research Information Services, Federal Research Report, Federal Register, NIH Guide to Grants and Contracts, and State Funding Opportunities.
Working in conjunction with the Office of Institutional Development to identify foundation and corporate support. Note: A grant is defined as a project with goals and objectives with a deliverable product or service; a defined budget, and a beginning/ending period. Gifts, scholarships, and endowments are handled by the College's Institutional Development Office.
Providing advice to faculty regarding funding sources, grant-seeking strategies, gratn writing, and proposal reveiw.
