Twelve Ithaca College Students Invited To Present At National Research Conference
ITHACA, NY—The National Conferences on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) has selected 12 Ithaca College students to present 11 undergraduate research projects at the 2008 NCUR national conference in Salisbury, Maryland, on April 10–12. NCUR receives more than 3,000 abstract submissions each year, of which approximately 2,000 are accepted for presentation at the conference. The NCUR conference hosts students and their faculty mentors to present their research through posters, oral presentations, visual arts and performances.
“Ithaca College will be very well represented at this year’s NCUR conference,” said Kathleen Rountree, provost and vice president for academic affairs. “I’m very proud of these students for their outstanding efforts, and I’m grateful to their faculty advisors for their support of undergraduate research.”
The following students were chosen to present research projects in economics, English, strategic communication, environmental studies, legal studies, and biology.
