A Celebration of Outstanding Research and Creative Works by Ithaca College Students
The James J. Whalen Academic Symposium celebrates the tradition of student and faculty collaboration in research and creative activity at Ithaca College and provides students the opportunity to present thesis projects and independent research, or original creative work in the arts, including music, theater, film, and two- and three-dimensional art.
The 15th Annual Whalen Symposium was held in the Ithaca College Campus Center April 11, 2012, and featured:
- Keynote address: Student Research and Creativity – The Ithaca Experience - David Brown, Associate Professor
- 150 student presentations and performances
- 40 posters organized in five sessions
- Theatre History Student Performance: Manifestos on Creativity, featuring Samantha Cotton, Kristof Janezic, Sara Stevens, Joseph Pietropaolo, Lucy Walker; Faculty Sponsor: Chrystyna Dail
