Professor William Ressler Selected as the Keynote Speaker at the 16th Annual James J. Whalen Academic Symposium. 

Come and hear Professor William Ressler, Department of Strategic Communication, present "Looking Beyond the Streetlight:  Discovering the Powers of Research" at 8:45 am on April 4 in Emerson A, Campus Center.

Come and watch your classmates, fellow students, and colleagues who represent the Martin Luther King and Park Scholars programs, as well as over 50+ sessions of student posters and presentations next Thursday, April 4th, from 8:45 AM - 3:50 PM in the Campus Center.

The Symposium will feature over 240 presentations of research, creative writing, and more, representing all disciplines, including the following selections:

  • Soil Organic Carbon in the Ithaca College Natural Lands by Christina Kranz;
  • The Have Versus the Have Nots:  An International Perspective on Health Care by Jenna Jablonski;
  • The Coach, Parent, Athlete Triad: The Motivational Climate and Participation in Youth Sports by Dana Shannon;
  • Politeness Theory in Health Care Decision-Making by Mark Vorensky
  • Achieving Equilibrium:  An Analysis of Maslanska’s “A Child’s Garden of Dreams” by Matthew Recio; and
  • MegsRadio:  Using Maps to Promote Local Musicians by Andrew Horwitz
