Brief Bio of Dr. Eversley Bradwell

Dr. Sean Eversley Bradwell is an assistant professor at Ithaca College. He serves as the co-coordinator for the African Diaspora Studies minor in the Center for the Study of Culture, Race and Ethnicity and has research/teaching interests in educational policy, race theory, and hip hop culture. 

Dr. Bradwell is an alumnus of Amsterdam High School (N.Y.); received a B.A. in political science from the University of Rochester; an M.S. in education from Rochester’s Margaret Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development; and a Ph.D. in policy analysis and management from Cornell University.

He has worked in for-profit education, public schools, and higher education. In 2009, Dr. Bradwell was elected to a three-year term to serve on the Ithaca City School District Board of Education. Through his professional, research, and personal involvement in education as well as his work with community organizations, Dr. Bradwell is committed to working towards more meaningful learning and teaching.
