Window Usage Guidelines
To open or not to open. That is the question...
Climate control in the Peggy Ryan Williams Center can be a "sticky" topic. Many have asked when is a good time to have the windows open. Quay Thompson, HOLT architect, has recommended the following guidelines:
Outdoor air temperature is between 50 degrees F and 75 degrees F, and
Outdoor Relative Humidity is less than 70%.
These are very safe set points because they should never cause the mechanical system to run less efficiently. An easy way to keep tabs on the temperature and relative humidity is to add the weather portlet into your myHome at Ithaca account.
