Expenses

The fee for the three- week institute is $1,715. Payment plans are available. The fee covers participation in quartet coaching and rehearsals, string orchestra rehearsals, lessons, planned recreational activities, meals in the campus dining hall, housing (a shared double room in the supervised campus residence hall), and an institute T-shirt.

Scholarship aid is available on a limited basis to viola and cello students. Please direct your request in writing to Sanford Reuning, institute director. These scholarships are designed mainly to ensure the proper instrumental balance for quartets. Scholarships are awarded on a merit basis and will not exceed $750. Notification will be given together with acceptance into the program.
