Author of 13 volumes of verse, including The Old Life and Without, and many books of prose, Donald Hall is one of the foremost creators of poetry and an eloquent spokesperson for its place in the world. His work has won many awards, and he is renowned as an editor of anthologies. To hear him give voice to a poem is to enter a room of music and light.
