Continuing a proud tradition of national caliber student research, Ithaca's chemistry department sent 11 students to present research at this year's American Chemical Society national meeting in San Diego. The annual meeting is one of the most prestigious venues for student and professional research in the field. Ithaca's research spanned topics in chemistry and biochemistry and even extended to classroom teaching. Student travel funds were provided through the support of alumni donations and Sigma Xi, the international honor society of research scientists and engineers.
