The 1996-97 Ithaca College concert season concludes on Tuesday, April 22, with a performance by the internationally celebrated Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra. The concert begins at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall Auditorium. A free pre-concert lecture by faculty member Edward Swenson is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in room 201, Ford Hall. Conducted by Dennis Russell Davies, the ensemble's Ithaca program will include music by Bach/Reger, Beethoven, Glass, and Schubert. Formed little more than a year after the end of World War II, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra comprises some of the world's best musicians. The ensemble has made countless tours of Europe, North and South America, Asia, the Far East, and Africa, and has performed in Europe's most renowned music festivals.

Tickets are $7 for children, senior citizens, and Ithaca College students; $12 for Ithaca College alumni, Friends of Ithaca College, faculty, staff, administrators, and other students; and $12 for the general public.
