LGBT Resource Center to Hold Open House

All Ithaca College students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend an open house for the new Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Education, Outreach, and Services. The event will be held on Tuesday, December 4, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the center, which is located on the ground floor of the Hammond Health Center.

"This is a great opportunity for the Ithaca College community to come and show their support for LGBT students, staff, and faculty and our allies," says Lisa Maurer, coordinator of LGBT education, outreach, and services. "People attending the event can meet the center’s volunteer staff, enjoy some refreshments, browse the resources available for use, and find out more about LGBT issues."

The center is under the auspices of the Office of Multi-cultural Affairs. Designed to foster the personal growth and academic success of LGBT students, the center also provides College-wide educational programs and services that enhance the campus community’s awareness and appreciation for LGBT issues and concerns.

For more information contact Lisa Maurer at lmaurer@ithaca.edu or 274-7394.
