New TCAT Bus Schedule

With the addition of the College Circle apartments to on-campus housing, Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) has revised its schedule of bus service to Ithaca College.

TCAT route 11 has changed to a 45-minute cycle. The bus now travels from downtown via Hudson Street, making campus stops at Textor Hall, the Towers, and College Circle before proceeding to Longview. The trip back downtown goes in the reverse order.

"We think the revised route with full loops through the entire campus in both directions will serve the members of the campus community well and strengthen our programmatic relationship with Longview," says Carl Sgrecci, vice president and treasurer. "I want to thank students, faculty, and staff for their patience in adjusting to this new schedule."

Sgrecci also reminds employees that the new benefit initiated last spring allows their College parking permits to be used as passes to ride TCAT buses for free, saving the hassle of dealing with traffic and finding a parking space. Students may purchase discounted bus passes in the bookstore.

TCAT schedules and routes are available in the College’s bookstore, on the buses, at www.tcatbus.com, or by calling 277-RIDE.
