Dining Services to Present ‘Tour of Ithaca’

Specialties from five local restaurants will be served up for dinner in the Ithaca College dining halls on Monday, September 9. Maxie’s Supper Club, Pangea, Turback’s, the Antlers, and Dano’s have each provided a menu item as part of a special promotion.

"To give incoming students as well as others who might not have ventured very far from campus a taste of what Ithaca restaurants have to offer, we invited several of them to provide a specialty from their menu for what we are calling the ‘Tour of Ithaca,’ " says Debra Meeker, marketing coordinator for Ithaca College Dining Services. "Dining Services will do all the preparation and take on all the costs; the only thing the restaurants need to provide is their recipes."

Meeker says the Campus Center, Terrace, and Towers Dining Halls will each have at least one restaurant selection for the dinner service. She encourages not only students but also faculty and staff to try out the "Tour of Ithaca," pointing out that it is an excellent way to use the block meal plan.
