Family Weekend Offers a Glimpse of College Life

Parents and other family members of current students will get a chance to sample the Ithaca College experience at this year's Family Weekend. Set to run Friday through Sunday, October 4 - 6, Family Weekend will offer visitors a selection of concerts, sporting events, theater performances, good food, presentations, open houses, and a luncheon with College president Peggy R. Williams.

Family WeekendCheck-in begins on Friday at 11:00 am and continues until 8:00 pm in Phillips Hall. Visitors may also check in on Saturday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm Special events scheduled for each of the three days are listed on page 4.

Certain events require tickets (noted on the schedule), which may be picked up with the registration packets. Using their Ithaca College ID cards, students may pick up packets for their families at the registration desk.

Tickets are available to Family Weekend registrants only. Seating is limited for each performance of The Laramie Project and for each concert, and requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost of tickets is included in the registration fee.

In order to defray some of the costs the College incurs in offering Family Weekend, a fee is charged for each family member and guest attending. Ithaca College students, when accompanied by registered family members and guests, are not required to pay this fee, but they must request complimentary tickets for those events that require them.

Anyone with questions should call the Family Weekend information line at 274-3702 or visit the website at www.ithaca.edu/familyweekend.
