Legendary
clarinetist Richard Stoltzman will join with the American String
Quartet for the third performance in the Shirley and Chas Hockett
Chamber Music Concert Series at Ithaca College.

College will begin the yearlong lecture and discussion series
September 26 with a presentation by Jane Marie Law.

answer questions for prospective students at the Ithaca College
booth at the New York State Fair on Higher Education Day at the

Family Weekend
begins on Friday, October 4.

Bill D'Elia
will be on campus to give a free public lecture and a series of
master classes to students in the Roy H. Park School of Communications.

In
addition to conducting master classes and meeting with students
and faculty, Forché will give two free public presentations.

The
17th annual Professionals Symposium will present workshops and
career networking sessions, as well as an awards dinner with talks
by two successful alumni.

The theme
of this year's festival, a College-wide recognition of cultural
awareness and diversity, will be "Celebrating Our Differences."

The 2002 -
3 season opens with a Clark Theatre staging of Moisés Kaufman's
The Laramie Project, a drama based on the 1998 murder
of gay college student Matthew Shepard.

Ithaca
College alumni will be returning to South Hill Friday through
Sunday, September 20 - 22, for athletic events, a pep rally, a
concert by an acclaimed jazz quintet, and the induction of 11
people into the Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame.

Five
Play will give a free concert, kicking off the School of Music's
new "Improvisation and You" series. A pre-concert talk will be
given by music lecturer Louise Mygatt at 7:30 pm in the Iger Lecture
Hall.

Gifts
to the Parents Fund showed a 13 percent increase in dollar amount
over the previous year, along with a remarkable 48 percent increase
in the number of parent donors.
|
Parents
and other family members of current students will get a chance
to experience a selection of concerts, sporting events, theater
performances, good food, presentations, open houses, and a luncheon
with the College president.
|
Now
called Wood Field, the Upper Terrace Field serves as home to the
women's lacrosse and men's and women's soccer teams.
