heard presentations from President Peggy R. Williams, vice president
and treasurer Carl Sgrecci, and provost and vice president for

of the Ithaca College community have until November 15 to pledge
their support to the more than 100 health and human service programs
sponsored by the United Way of Tompkins County.

Yossi Klein
Halevi, Israeli correspondent for the New Republic, will
give a free public talk on November 4,"At the Entrance to the
Garden of Eden: A Search for God with Christians and Muslims in
the Holy Land."

Ithaca
College Theatre will present Bertolt Brecht's The Threepenny
Opera. Performances will be held at 8:00 p.m. on November
5, 7, 8, and 9. There will be 2:00 p.m. matinees on November 9
and 10.

Ali Mirsepassi,
professor and associate dean of the Gallatin School of Individualized
Study at New York University, will talk on "Civilizational Thinking
and Modernity: Crisis of Cultural Narratives in Islamic Societies."

Jim Walker,
the flutist and leader of the jazz/classical ensemble Free Flight,
will give a free concert at the College on Friday, November 8.

Stephen Tropiano,
tThe author of a new historical study on the images of gay men
and lesbians on television, will speak at Ithaca College on Monday,
November 4.

Bassoonist
Paul Hanson will visit the College on Tuesday, November 5, to
give the third recital in the School of Music's new "Improvisation
and You" series.
