Apply for your Degree
Are you ready to graduate? The Degree Audit Process...
Ithaca College will post degrees five times a year: in March, May, August, October and in December.
Your official expected graduation date can be found on HomerConnect in the Student Information area.
Please see the Academic Calendar for application deadlines for each graduation date. If you do not
apply for your degree before the deadline, your name may be left out of the Commencement Program or
your name may not be the way you prefer it on your diploma.
If your expected graduation date is incorrect, you should immediately contact The
Office of the Registrar at CAPP@ithaca.edu.
It is your responsibility to make sure that you have the required courses and credits to graduate. We
would like to urge you to use HomerConnect's Degree Evaluation mechanism and meet with your academic
adviser to monitor progress toward your degree and determine what courses you will need to graduate in
the coming academic year.
Information for Graduation
To apply for your degree, you need to fill out the Application for Degree Form below, and click
submit. This information is used to order diplomas and provides us with the information (such as your
hometown city and state) for the published commencement program. Students who have requested FERPA
privacy will not be included in this publication.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Be sure that you enter your name exactly as you want it to appear on your diploma. If your name
contains special characters that cannot be entered on the computer, please stop by our office or mail
us a letter including all of the information requested on this form.
Enter the Hometown city/state/country that you want to be shown on the commencement program.
Please enter your IC e-mail, address, local phone and Student ID Number.
Be sure to enter your major(s), concentration(s) and minor(s) (if applicable).
Your Expected Graduation Date should be when all your requirements for your degree program will be
complete. For example, if you are doing an internship over the summer to complete your degree, you
should check Summer 2009. In that event you would still be able to participate in the May commencement
ceremony, but would not receive your diploma until all requirements are complete.
October and March graduation dates are available for those people that do not meet the deadlines for
December and Summer graduation dates or have special situations that require delaying a standard
graduation date.
Please be sure that all the information is correct BEFORE you click on the Submit
button. If you notice that you have made an error after clicking on submit, please
return to this form, fill it out again and click on submit.
