Resource Representatives Program

Resource Representatives Program

The Resource Representative program is a peer-to-peer education experiment which works within the residence halls and around campus to raise environmental awareness around the college.  Students working or as Representatives for the program in the residence halls update bulletin boards, hang the weekly environmental newsletters we call Installments, and put on dorm programs.  A Representative Coordinator, leaders, and volunteers work together to create programs and materials to educate and create a more sustainable living and learning experience on campus. Reps keep environmental issues fun and interesting!

Since its inception in 2004, we have created and implemented many successful programs:

Projects include:

  • Installments
  • Change a Light, Change the World
  • Spot a Mug
  • ICARE Lights Off!
  • Recyclemania
  • Trash Cops
  • Recycling Competitions
  • Energy Wars

We are always looking for new volunteers! If you're interested, please contact:  irecycle@ithaca.edu
