Moving out is as much of the process as finding, leasing, moving in, and being a responsible tenant of an off-campus property. Make sure that you fulfill your obligation as a tenant by leaving the property in a clean and livable state when you leave regardless of whether or not. the move-out is voluntary
Clean means vacuuming the carpets, cleaning the kitchen (which includes emptying and cleaning the refrigerator, range, oven, microwave and dishwasher and any other furnished appliance), thoroughly cleaning the bathroom, emptying the trash and recycling bins, and removing all of your personal belongings. If utilities are in your name (e.g., electric, gas, water, telephone, cable TV), terminate the service or have these transferred back to the landlord as is appropriate. Provide the post office with change of address so that final bills, refunds, and the rest of your mail will be forwarded to your new address.
Be certain how, when and to where you need to return your keys. And be completely moved out by the date your lease ends unless you have written permission from the landlord to remain on the premises.
