What is a leave of absence?

A formal process where current students are granted permission by Ithaca College to suspend their studies for a limited period of time without the need to apply for readmission to the college. Residential students who are granted this status retain the housing status each had that time the leave of absence begins (e.g. on-campus, commuter, off-campus). On-campus students who take a leave of absence are guaranteed housing upon their return, but are not guaranteed the same housing assignment.
