Goals
  1. Continue to utilize technology to improve the efficiency and quality of services we provide students.
    • Manage the early arrival and senior week processes on-line
    • Identify internal office processes in place or being developed to enhance the service we are able to provide students and parents:
    • Add Computers to Residence Directors' Offices for Office Assistants to use
    • Add laser printers to Residence Directors' offices
    • Provide IT training to residential life staff for software or programs used by the department, encourage staff use of ITS training opportunities on campus
    • Assess each staff member's level of technology experience
    • Implement the new damage billing system
    • Develop or purchase an on-line furniture inventory management syst
  2. Provide software and hardware to staff to improve efficiency and flexibility in the work environment
    • Investigate purchasing Blackberries or Treos for the professional staff
    • Work within the College's Technology Renewal Cycle to swap out desktop computers with laptops
    • Investigate new software options that could improve internal processes
  3. Assess student needs for public access to computers and computer-related technology with the residence halls
    • Survey usage of the existing residential hall computer labs and whether they provide sufficient resources
    • Investigate purchasing LCD projectors and projection screens for the TV lounges
