OALC EVENTS CALENDAR

Whether you are new to Outdoor Adventures, or an expert, this learning community will stimulate all. The opportunities on this floor will help participants to gain survival skills, leadership skills, and learn more about the environmental issues involved in outdoor adventure including the Leave no Trace theory.

The Outdoor Adventure learning community will give you an opportunity to attend both educational and social programs offered by the staff and leadership group with many of the suggestions from the actual residents themselves! Some of the events and programming that will be put on during the year may include outdoor camping and hiking trips, environmental issues programs, music and its importance to outdoor worship and celebration, and leadership skills.

Luke Keller¹ will serve as the Faculty Advisor for the program and will be part of the leadership group planning and implementing programs.

¹ Luke Keller is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics (CNS 264). He is a life-time camper, hiker, cyclist (including off-road mountain biking) with 20 years backcountry backpacking experience (all seasons), 17 years rock climbing experience, 7 years ice climbing experience (Colorado and New York), and 10 years mountaineering experience.
