RESIDENTIAL LIFE GUIDE
incoming selection

Incoming students will select their housing using HomerConnect. HomerConnect is an online, self-service application for Ithaca College students to view class schedules, register for courses, verify financial aid and bursar information, and select housing.

Ithaca College offers a wide variety of housing options, including traditional residence halls and special-interest areas. We suggest that new students familiarize themselves with the types of rooms available, and acquaint themselves with where traditional and special housing options are available prior to the selection process (see timeline).

SPECIAL NOTE: If a space is not available for a student to select, the Office of Residential Life will assign that student to Temporary Housing after the process closes. As spaces open, the Office of Residential Life will attempt to reassign as many students as possible from Temporary Housing to permanent assignments prior to opening.

SPECIAL NOTICE: The Office of Residential Life reserves the right to suspend these processes as demand for campus housing dictates.

All room changes and sublets made without prior approval of the Office of Residential Life are subject to judicial action. Similarly, moving into a vacancy without permission from the Office of Residential Life can result in disciplinary action. It is vitally important for your safety and well-being that Ithaca College's records accurately reflect where you reside on campus.

Students who move (or are directly reassigned) from a traditional room to a Circle Apartment, Garden Apartment, or Quad Apartment will need to contact the Bursar's office if they intend to continue their current meal plan. Students who move (or are directly reassigned) from a Circle Apartment, Garden Apartment, or Quad Apartment to a traditional room are automatically assigned to a standard meal plan which will be billed to their student account.

Moving from one bedroom to another within an Circle apartment without approval of the Office of Residential Life is considered an unauthorized room change and subject to judicial action.
