The Substance Free Housing Communities are located in both the Terraces and Quads. Sophomores, juniors and seniors may request to live in substance free on the first floor of Terrace 05. For first-year students (FYRE), substance free is located in Rowland Hall (Quads) on the ground floor.

The Substance Free community  provides new and returning students with an enjoyable living and learning experience where community members commit to living a Substance Free lifestyle. Students who reside in Substance Free may participate in a variety of social events including movie and game nights, study breaks, and tie dying to name a few.  Other program topics include healthy eating, living a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, leadership opportunities, and civic engagement.  As a community member, you will be invited by your Resident Assistant to take an active role in helping to shape the community through regular participation and by helping to plan community events.
