Goals of the Residential Learning Community

• Create a vibrant community where residents and other members of the IC community are excited about experiencing Hispanic cultures.
• Host regular events, open to all Ithaca College students, that keep everyone engaged in Hispanic cultures and the Spanish language beyond the confines of the classroom. Examples of such events are: Latin dance nights, film nights, cooking programs, Mesa Española, conversation groups, guest speakers, y más …
• Foster a partial Spanish language immersion environment where residents can't help but actively communicate with each other in Spanish.
• Network with other campus organizations and learning communities committed to further the diverse, multicultural programming throughout campus.
• Establish meaningful relationships with professors and guest speakers who can enhance Vecinos: Hispanic Cultures and Languages Living and Learning Community!
