The CMD Experience
Organizations survive by allowing people to work together and share information -- by communication. They thrive by figuring out how to do things well -- by management. And they become great by setting significant goals and creating strategies and tools to achieve them -- by design.
As a CMD student you will learn how to put these principles into practice by acquiring skills in
- problem solving and critical thinking
- project management and teamwork
- written and oral presentation
You will master the tools of media and design to
- create graphics and websites
- produce newsletters and promotional materials
- develop social media applications
- design games for promotion and training
You will study theory and best practices in
- leadership and management
- communication and information design
- interaction and visual design
- motivation and persuasion
You will gain hands-on experience by
- engaging in case studies, simulations, and projects
- obtaining internships in the United States and abroad
- consulting with actual clients on and off campus
Our students graduate with a unique skill: the ability to make a difference in the world through communication.
