Intern, Employee Communications—Dow Jones, London, UK—Spring 2008
Worked in variety of areas: graphic design, internal communications management, and intranet design/updating/maintenance. Wrote internal news stories, trained employees on using and contributing to the intranet portal, and planned meetings and events.

“In planning that event, I explored venues, got quotes, confirmed date/time/number of attendees, ordered the food and drinks and created the office promotions and invitations. It came at the end of a day of meetings, a brunch, and a tea that I also arranged so that the VP had an opportunity to speak with employees from different departments on a more intimate level, to listen to concerns and feedback about HR.”
