CMD: Awards, Conferences, and Honors

Nine of the 54 Ithaca College inductees into the Sigma Iota Epsilon National Management Honorary on October 26, 2007, are communication management and design students.

Seniors Stephanie Appel, Andrew Hiltz, Josh Keniston, and Jason Soon were initiated, along with juniors Elise Kain and Andrea Palmer. Sophomore initiates included Liz Kranz, Stephanie Lincoln, and Kevin Metz.

Sigma Iota Epsilon (SIE) membership is by invitation only to qualified students in management-related disciplines. The Ithaca College Zeta Iota chapter has won many national awards, including National Chapter of the Year for six of the previous eight years.

Three CMD students serve as chapter officers for 2007-2008: Leanne Gabinelli '08, vice president of communications; Michele Maciejewski '09, vice president of fund-raising; and Vanessa Odenbach '08, vice president of programs.

SIE strives to stimulate interest and achievement in the field of management through encouragement and recognition of academic excellence, programs to enhance members' professional development, and service to the community.
