American Advertising Federation faculty adviser, Professor Scott Hamula, along with 27 Ithaca College students, attended the 51st Annual Advertising Career Conference in New York City in October.  The two-day event, sponsored by the Advertising Women of New York, included an ad agency visit to Merkley + Partners, networking seminar, professional networking party, keynote speaker featuring Laurie Coots, chief marketing officer of TBWA worldwide, resume and creative portfolio clinics, and the opportunity for students to choose three professional workshops coving topics such as getting your first job in advertising, account management and planning, creative, media and interactive, marketing and sales, public relations, and fashion and pharmaceutical advertising.
