Strategic Communication Students Present Research at Whalen Academic Symposium
This year's James J. Whalen Academic Symposium featured over 250 students and 162 presentations. The projects represent the best student work accomplished at the College and are evidence of the important role that student-faculty collaboration plays in learning at Ithaca. Professor Scott Hamula, Director of the Integrated Marketing Communications Program, said, "I was very impressed with the work generated by the teams. The students understood the brand and developed an integrated plan to reach and motivate the target markets with messages and promotions."
Freshmen students Amanda Roselli, Kirsty Ewing, and Meghan Swope (Danial Haack was at the London program) presented their report titled "Strategic Communication Plan: The School of Business at Ithaca College." This work was generated as part of their participation in Professor Scott Hamula's Introduction to Strategic Communication course in the Park School. IMC seniors presented "An Analysis of Ithaca College Student Satisfaction: What We Learned," which was created for Professor Donald Eckrich's Marketing Strategy course in the Business School.
