2008 Strategic Communication Department Banquet, Showcase, and Awards
The first annual year-end celebration of the Strategic Communication Department was by all accounts, a fantastic success! Replacing former program-centered events, the Strategic Communication Banquet, Showcase, and Awards on May 1st highlighted the accomplishments of both communication management and design, and integrated marketing communications, students.
The party was planned and executed by students from the department student organizations—CMDSA, AAF, and PRSSA. "It really was an all-around team effort," said Amanda Butts ’08, president of CMDSA. About 120 attendees feasted on a scrumptious buffet which included carved roast turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, seafood newburg over rice, vegetable lasagna, spring greens with asparagus and fruit salad, all topped off with cheesecake and strawberries.
