Leanne Gabinelli ’08 Awarded Sigma Iota Epsilon Scholarship

Each year, the national office of Sigma Iota Epsilon (SIE) honor society awards the Keith Davis Graduate Scholarship to a masters or doctoral student who is an active member of the society. This year, CMD alumna and current law student at New York Law School, Leanne Gabinelli ’08, became the first Ithaca College student to receive this prestigious award.

“The paper I submitted,” says Gabinelli, “was written for the senior-level required CMD course on emerging technologies during the fall 2007 semester.” Her paper is entitled, “Email in the Workplace.”

According to SIE, papers submitted for the competition must be on an appropriate management subject as defined by the professional divisions and interest groups of the National Academy of Management. Papers are evaluated by the SIE National Office staff. The graduate student member writing the best paper is recognized as the Keith Davis Graduate Scholarship winner and receives a $1,250 cash scholarship and recognition plaque.
