CMD Students Inducted into Management Honor Society
Seven students majoring in communication management and design (CMD) were inducted into Sigma Iota Epsilon (SIE) national management honorary at a ceremony on November 14, 2008. The new initiates include
seniors Andrew H. Garcia and Rachel L. Pancoe;
juniors Katelyn A. Avery, Bryan M. Davis, Stephen E. Goewey, and Lindsay A. Hotaling;
and, sophomore Meagan C. LeVander.
The distinguished speaker at this fall’s ceremony was Scott Wiggins, Managing Director of La Tourelle Resort & August Moon Spa.
Sigma Iota Epsilon membership is by invitation only to qualified students in management-related disciplines. The Ithaca College chapter has won many national awards, including National Chapter of the Year several times.
CMD students often hold leadership positions in SIE. Jessica Hoeler, CMD ’09, is currently the Ithaca College chapter president and Michelle Duffy, CMD ’09, is the VP of communications.
SIE strives to stimulate interest and achievement in the field of management through encouragement and recognition of academic excellence, programs to enhance members' professional development, and service to the community.
