CMD major, Maggie Kates, is interning for an internationally recognized celebration- World Entrepreneurship Day 2009. What is World Entrepreneurship Day? It is a global network of entrepreneurs, educators, innovators, companies, NGO’s and more endorsing, planning and celebrating innovation and the hope for a better community and economy. Their mission is to remind the world that it is entrepreneurs who have consistently and courageously led economies in recession back to prosperity and growth. Maggie’s key responsibilities are to help educate and make the world aware of the celebration. Maggie is focusing her research and management skills to serve as a Global Event Enrollment Specialist to launch several outreach initiatives; by partnering with WED and enrolled professional groups, she will build a comprehensive network of relationships and help disseminate entrepreneurial ideas in every facet globally. Maggie said, “I’m just so excited to be among such a passionate group of people, creating a unique and organic idea that will allow me to truly grow and develop my own knowledge and skills, while also being able to support an infinite network of innovators and entrepreneurs.” For more information visit www.worldshipday.com.
