Experts Enrich Course - Critical Issues Class Gains Insights from Internationally-Recognized Experts
This fall, the STCM 45000 Critical Issues in Organizations class, taught by Professor Gordon Rowland, was enriched by a series of interviews with experts in the field. Students prepared for and conducted the interviews either in person or by audio- or video-conference. Experts included:
Stanley Deetz, Professor of Communication and Director of Peace and Conflict Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder
Amy Edmondson, Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management and Co-Unit Head of the Technology and Operations Management Unit at Harvard Business School
Marlene Fine, Professor of Communications at Simmons College of Arts and Sciences
Diane Gayeski, Interim Dean of the Park School and head of Gayeski Analytics
Roger Kaufman, Professor Emeritus. Educational Psychology and Learning Systems, and formerly Director, Office for Needs Assessment and Planning, as well as Associate Director of the Learning Systems Institute, at the Florida State University
Harold Nelson, President, Advanced Design Institute, and past-president, International Society for the Systems Sciences
Tony O’Driscoll, Professor of the Practice at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business
Dave Snowden, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Cognitive Edge, and visiting professor at the Universities of Canberra and Pretoria, and Hong Kong Polytechnic University
