CMD's Kristen Leising was one of the ten IC students honored this year with the 2007 Campus Life Award. According to Brian McAree, Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Life, the Ithaca College Campus Life Award is given each year to a select group of graduating seniors in order to recognize their outstanding contributions to the Ithaca College community through participation and involvement in campus life. Over the years this award has become a coveted goal and valued honor. In order to be nominated for this prestigious award, students must have been extensively involved in a number of areas of campus life and have demonstrated significant leadership abilities and accomplishments.
"To receive a Campus Life Award is the highest compliment of leadership ability and achievement on the Ithaca College campus," remarked Leising. "I am honored that the Ithaca College staff and faculty, along with my peers, hold my leadership in such high regard."

She also spent a semester studying in South Africa, where she interned at the District Six Museum promoting tourism. In Ithaca, she interned at the Ithaca Breast Cancer Alliance where she produced radio spots and brochures to assist in their re-branding campaign.
