Anissa Richmond ’13, an integrated marketing communications major, will work this summer at Macy's corporate office in New York City as a marketing strategy intern.
Richmond is also participating in the Black Action Retail Group (BRAG) Summer Internship program, "a comprehensive 11-week work and professional development module designed to expose African American and other college students of color to retail and retail related fields in a no-nonsense realistic setting."
"I am incredibly excited about my Marketing internship this summer at BRAG. I was recommended for the program after being accepted as a Marketing Strategy intern at Macy's. With the BRAG program I hope to learn more about marketing in the fashion and retail industries. I think that as a member of the African American community, it's important to learn about professional development and networking in fashion so that I can better distinguish myself as a leader in my future career. I'm looking forward to the BRAG internship, Macy's internship, and my summer in New York!"
